Show & Shine - Qualitat VW Nationals 2019 UPDATE: 

The organising committee, on behalf of the Canterbury Volkswagen Enthusiasts Club, are thrilled to be hosting this year’s VW Nationals in Christchurch and we wish to firstly thank all the businesses who are supporting this event to get it over the line.   

Registrations are also a vital part of putting on these events and as always preference is to gain as many registrations as possible as this helps with covering the weekends costs such as the Show & Shine site hire, health and safety requirements, portaloos, insurance, entertainment, catering, as well as advertising costs associated with such a large event. Unfortunately, these things don’t come for free!

For the Show & Shine a gate fee of $20.00 per vehicle that is not officially registered for the VW Nationals will be charged on the day.  This is consistent with other local car club shows and their pricing.   Obviously, we would prefer vehicles to be registered as it also gives you an opportunity to have your car judged with fantastic prizes to be won, you’ll receive great items in the goody bags and it also shows your solidarity and support to the national VW community.

Everyone registered for the weekend will receive a well stocked goody bag with a value estimated at well over $60 - so it’s worth registering even if you just want to show your car off!!

We are grateful to all our sponsors and the external support we have received to help this event come together. As you can imagine these types of events carry large costs so we are extremely grateful to everyone who is supporting this event with their official registrations, and to those who have volunteered and contributed their time and skills to ensure this event is one to remember.  

We are a nation with a strong community of VW enthusiasts coming together every year to hold an awesome family event and celebrate everything VW.  Without exception, 2019 is going to be an awesome and fun filled weekend!
